The contrasting behavior of Prince William and Prince Harry at the beginning of the twenty was revealed by a former member of the staff of the palace.
The former royal assistant, appointed Grant Harold, was appointed Butler from 2004 to 2011 by King Charles shared details on his meetings with the royal family in his new book, via Radaronline.com.
“One of the reasons why I wanted to work for Prince Charles was to be an aid for his sons, William and Harry, who were twenty-one and nineteen at the time, and it was not long before meeting the young princess,” Harrold wrote in his book, The Royal Butler.
Recalling that his very first meeting with the much younger prince noted that the voice of the future king was “so deep and authoritarian” and had a earth-to-terre nature.
William, who was at the time in the fourth year of the university, returned to the palace in May from his joint year.
They exchanged greetings and presented themselves. When the staff asked how he had to address Prince William, he politely replied: “William. My name is William.”
Harrold said William was “very friendly, polite and right at point”.
A few days later, the Butler had his first meeting with Harry, 19 years old.
“I was in the kitchen one day, having a conversation with the chef, when someone appeared at the door and, without warning, threw me a water tank,” he wrote.
“I made a double socket. ‘OK’, I thought, so it’s happening … Prince Harry has just returned home and I start a water tank.”
Harrold continued saying: “By just avoiding the first missile, I saw that he was tailoring another and instinctively plunged into the pantry at the back of the kitchen. Suddenly realizing that I was cornered, I accelerated a window on the size of a photo frame, with a feet covers to stop the coming flies.
After they came against each other, Harry apologized, noting “I’m just a little silly”.
