Future monarch Prince William has made a crucial decision to protect his and Princess Kate’s children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis, from future fallout.
The Prince of Wales has vowed to save his children from division because he does not want them to fall victim to an “inherent cruelty” of the heir and reserve system.
William, 43, is said to be determined that Charlotte and Louis will lead “independent lives” in the future without being spared by their older brother, Prince George, who is destined to become king.
The heir to the British throne has made a shocking decision for the future of the monarchy.
“I’m told that the heir to the throne, Prince William, is concerned about the inherent risk of cruelty associated with primogeniture,” Tina Brown, Princess Diana’s biographer, shared this idea in her column Fresh Hell Substack.
“He is determined that his second and third children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are well prepared and well funded for independent lives and do not fall into the same cycle of thwarted freedom.”
The nicknames “Heir and Spare” were first used in the media for William and Harry.
This refers to the notion in aristocratic families that the older brother will inherit the title or estate, with the younger one waiting to replace him just in case.
Prince Harry’s confession
The Duke of Sussex, in his biography, also claimed that these names were also used by his parents, Charles and Diana, as well as the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
In SpareHarry revealed that King Charles reportedly told his wife Diana on the day he was born: “Wonderful! Now you have given me an heir and a spare – my work is done.”
Royal author Tom Quinn explained, speaking in a Channel 5 documentary, recently revealed how it would change the dynamic between the three Welsh siblings.
Quinn said: “It will make things a lot easier because there won’t be two bucks like two antlers clashing.”
Parenting expert Jo Frost also weighed in on these claims in a conversation with GOOD MORNING!, saying: “I think William and Catherine understand the importance of nurturing the sibling relationship between the three of them. Dare I say it, in their family it would never be ‘the heir and the spare heir’. It would be about the importance of each of them.”
