Princess Beatrice finally talked about the premature birth of the Athena girl.
In a test for VogueBeatrice shared an emotional update on her daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose MAPELLI MOZZI.
Beatrice’s daughter, whom she shares with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was born in January, several weeks earlier, weighing only four pounds and five ounces.
Béatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, admitted: “Nothing prepares you completely for the time you realize that your baby will arrive early.”
She remembers wondering: “Will she arrive in good health? Will there be complications? How do you juggle the rest of family life while trying to keep a little human safe and well?”
“You know that when your baby arrives, doctors and midwives will be there, do everything they can to make sure that she spends through these first days for the first days,” said Beatrice. “But you do not know how these things will take place, which will then happen. Uncertainty leaves you an overwhelming fear of the unknown.”
Béatrice revealed that routine analyzes had indicated the need for close surveillance, and the doctors had warned her to prepare for early delivery.
Despite concerns, she expressed a deep gratitude for health professionals who ensured the safe arrival of Athena.
In addition, Princess Beatrice stressed the importance of women’s health, noting: “In many ways, for a long time, women’s health has been left to the agenda.”
Béatrice admitted that Héna was fortunately born, adding: “She was so tiny that it took more than a few weeks so that the tears of relief dry and for life with our healthy baby to feel real. Her feet were so small – almost the same size as the legs on one of the sweet rabbits of my eldest daughter.”
“I am extremely happy to let you know that Atena is now doing very well, I have some additional answers on what happened, but still no specific explanation,” added Princess Beatrice.
Besides Athena, Princess Béatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also share an Sienna girl.
