Princess Kate reacts to Prince William’s emotional interview with Eugene Levy

Princess of Wales asks ‘Schitt’s Creek’ actor if her husband was a good host

Princess Kate was delighted to meet a very special guest at her annual Christmas carol service – one likely invited by Prince William.

Before the service began at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 5, the Princess of Wales welcomed guests and came face to face with actor Eugene Levy, who interviewed William for an episode of The Reluctant Traveler. The Oct. 3 episode showed the future king opening up about his wife’s battle with cancer, his parents’ divorce and the kind of stability he hopes to create for his children, marking his most emotional and raw television interviews to date.

According to a clip shared by the Daily Mailroyal journalist Rebecca English, the Schitt Creek The actor shook Kate’s hand and said, “Nice to meet you!”

“You know my husband very well,” Kate noted as Levy confirmed, “I had a lovely day with your husband.”

“I hope he took care of you,” Kate joked. Levy nodded as she said, “He took care of me, yes he did.”

When Levy asked if William enjoyed the day as much as he did, Kate nodded and was lightly heard thanking Levy.

During their interview, Levy gently asked William, “Last year, your wife and father were ill. How are things now, first of all?”

The Prince of Wales replied: “Yes, things are going well. Everything is moving in the right direction, which is good news. But it’s been, I would say 2024 has been the most difficult year I’ve ever had. Trying to balance child protection, Catherine, my father needs a little protection…”

He added: “Everyone has their own coping mechanisms for these kinds of things, and kids are constantly learning and adapting. We try to give them the security they need.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were also seen arriving at the Together at Christmas service alongside their parents.
