The star of the professional struggle Austin Aries made a surprise return to Major League Wrestling (MLW) last month when he put a helmet and called Battle Riot VII instead of performing in the ring.
Aries, whose real name is Daniel Healy, has been in several different promotions throughout her career, including WWE, TNA, Defy and others. He was at MLW from 2018 to 2019.

Although fighting against a disease, Aries jumped on the microphone with Joe Dombrowski to call the event.
“It feels good,” said Aries about her return to Mlw. “In a way, readjustment. I had not been at MLW for several years, I worked with them several times during my career, never supported. It was exciting to look at the growth of the company, the momentum they created and many names they brought.
“And so, when the opportunity arose to come back to the fold and do it behind the comments desk, it was certainly something that I wanted to take them.”
Aries had an experience prior to the advertiser’s table.
He called matches for the Roadblock event: End of the Line Premium Live with Michael Cole and Corey Graves in December 2016 as well as some of their weekly programs.

Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff joins forces to launch the real American freestyle, bring the competitive struggle to the dominant current
He told PK Press Club Digital that he had drawn his inspiration from commentators and legendary managers Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura.
“I try to be the version of myself, but these guys definitely influence my style with regard to a heel commentator who will add a little more inclination,” he said. “I think that the other thing I appreciated about these guys, and I think that as a color commentator, it is when you can bring the prospect of being really in the ring that has contributed. This is a whole perspective that you can give the point of view that a commentator who was not in the ring cannot offer.”
Aries was a champion decorated in the ring.
He was triple world heavyweight champion, a champion of the TNA X-Division TNA, twice, the double world of honor, and he was classified n ° 12 on the list of 500 pro Wrestling wrestlers from Pro Wrestling in 2013.
Now 47 years old, Aries said that the transitional role towards a commentator was the right decision. This does not necessarily mean that he ended up in the ring.
“I had the opportunity to comment when I was with WWE. It was something that opened up after being injured, and I really enjoyed it and I felt likely to do it. And so it was something that – in my mind, I thought maybe on the road, when I started to slow down my career in the ring – might be an opportunity that I would like to continue.
“MLW approached me and asked me if that was something I wanted to do. So I felt, you know, I have 47 from there.”
Aries should be on the call for the next MLW event, Azteca Lucha, on May 10 in Chicago.
