Islamabad:
On Thursday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan said that former PTCL employees are fully entitled to the pension and ordered the company to prepare the payment calendar within 90 days.
A bench of three members of the Supreme Court made a detailed decision on more than 250 calls and petitions.
According to the decision, the financial problems give no excuse for the institution to pay the pension, the PTCL should prepare a payment schedule for retirees within 90 days.
Chief judge Yahya Afridi and Judge Aminuddin ruled in favor of retirees while judge Ayesha gave a dissident note.
