The official PTI account on X, formerly Twitter, alleged that the raid had been ordered to the highest levels of government. The declaration accused Mohin Naqvi and the leader coalition of political vendettas, accusing that “families are now destroyed in the thirst for power”. The party also demanded that the chief judge of Pakistan intervene and ordered the immediate release of Shahrez.
The reported raid intervened only a few hours after the Supreme Court granted a deposit to the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, in eight cases linked to the violent demonstrations of May 9, 2023. A bench of three members led by chief judge Yahya Afridi judged that the observations made during the bail procedure were temporary and should not prejudge the results of the trial. PTI leaders said that Raid’s moment suggested that I attempt to counterbalance the political relief granted to Khan earlier in the day.

Shahrez Khan, 39, is a well -known triathlete and businessman. Trained at the Aitchison College de Lahore, he then obtained an MBA from the University of Oxford before joining Simba Global, a flax supplier based in Australia, where he is regional chief. PTI underlined his achievements as Top Ironman Athlete of Pakistan, noting that he is only the second Pakistani triathlete to qualify for the world championship. The party insisted that he had no involvement in political activities and was targeted only because of his family ties.
The allegations still ignited political tensions while Imran Khan stays in prison in a business series, despite the release decisions on Thursday. His party accused the government of having systematically targeted the relatives and supporters of Khan in order to dismantle the political base of PTI before the future elections.
While calls have mounted for the release of Shahrez, PTI warned that the continuous abolition of political dissent could trigger generalized public disorders. “If immediate measures are not taken, the anger of the people will become uncontrollable,” said the party’s statement.
