PTI calls for the start of the fight for justice

Rawalpindi:

The Civil Administration of Rawalpindi imposed article 144 on Monday throughout the district of August 4 to 10 before the protest of the PTI scheduled for today on August 5.

According to a notification published by the deputy commissioner of Rawalpindi, Hassan Waqar Cheema, public gatherings and political rallies are prohibited in the city of Garrison, whose Adiala prison is the place where the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, was detained for about 2 years. Under article 144, the driving of mitos and the display of weapons are prohibited while the speakers cannot be used during this period. To prevent any public order situation near Adiala prison, a red alert has been issued and Adiala Road will be completely sealed with containers.

According to the official notification, the Punjab Rangers will be deployed around the prison and the Rangers will perform joint patrols with Rawalpindi police. Anti-riot police equipped with tear gas and batons will also be parked in all barricades.

Kacheri’s traffic at Adiala prison and the Chakri motorway exchange will be diverted to alternative routes. Judicial prosecution will be taken against anyone who will try to withdraw official blockages.

Meanwhile, before the planned demonstrations, the senior PTI official and former president of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser published a video message indicating that on August 5, there will be demonstrations across the country

“It is not only a demonstration, but the beginning of a movement. Two years ago, that day, the fascist government has unjustly stopped Imran Khan, and in the past two years, it has remained imprisoned without cause.

“We demand justice and decisions based on the merit of the judiciary. Unfortunately, after the 26th constitutional amendment, the judiciary is practically subordinate to the government. It is sad to see the public’s confidence in the courts decreasing day by day,” he added.

The head of the PTI asked what had emerged from the many operations carried out in merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which were earlier from the tribal areas administered by the Federal Government (FATA).

“These operations have neither brought peace nor end the troubles. May it be clear – we will not allow any military operation on our soil. We want peace on our land.

“Our request is simple and clear: justice for Imran Khan. When justice is refused, the principle of” might is just “prevails. A disbelief system can survive, but a system based on oppression cannot,” he added.

According to Qaiser, the country goes more towards tyranny and current leaders are seated in power by force. He said people did not want violence, explosions or extortion but peace, jobs and education for our children.

“The movement that begins today is not only the battle of PTI-it is the struggle of the whole nation, for the rule of law, justice, merit and equality of rights for all citizens,” he said.
