Lahore:
PTI clarified that the letter written by its management of Punjab, while emphasizing the importance of a significant dialogue, also dissipates the speculation that its imprisoned leaders had completed under any pressure.
Addressing L’Express PK Press Club, PTI Punjab’s social media chief said that the letter, written by one of the five leaders imprisoned and delivered to the media through their lawyers, made no new requests in SE.
He explained that the party seeks to hold negotiations at all levels, including with the powers in place, “which actually directs the series and calls for gunshots”.
He stressed that the key objective of the letter was to reject the impression that the leaders of the PTI currently behind bars were looking to settle their disputes with state institutions in order to end their prolonged imprisonment. “These five leaders are standing and their commitment to the cause of the party remains unshakable,” he said.
The PTI call for a broader negotiation process occurs while the PPP has already collected the support of the PML-N.
The leader of the PML-N Senior Khawaja Saad Raifice called the PTI letter as “Sage and Relevant”.
By publishing on his handles on social networks, Saad Raique wrote: “The letter of the senior leaders of PTI imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat prison to support the process of dialogue between political parties is important and wise. If the founders of the PTI agree with the opinion of their superior colleagues, then discussions can start.”
However, he added that discussions should take place without preconditions and focus on reducing bitterness by dialogue and the gradually relaxation of confrontations.
“If we can speak to enemy countries, why can’t we talk to ourselves?” He wrote.
Raquic noted that Pakistan needs an emergency of a new broader Democrat Charter, declaring: “No discussion can be fruitful without achieving a consensus on this subject. Sitting us together and decide on the rule of the Constitution in Pakistan, or tell the fatiha of democracy.”
He also declared that political forces, both in government and the opposition, remain a political reality, regardless of the evolution of popularity ratings.
“Likewise, denying the power of the establishment is also a denial of reality. The solution to our political crisis will not come from the use of force against force, but by dialogue and deliberation,” he added.
“Whatever the solution to differences and complex problems, it will be a step -by -step process. Instead of wasting energy to drag and tear, we should discuss the ways to advance the country,” said Raique.
Commenting on PTI’s announcement to launch a protest movement after Muharram, he said: “I have no doubt that the protest movement will not succeed, even after Muharram”.
It attributed the expected failure to last weather, the low organizational structure of PTI, the internal rifts and the rigidity of state institutions.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi
Earlier in the day, PTI chief Shah Mehmood Qureshi urged the president of the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan and secretary general Salman Akram Raja to visit him in prison, declaring that it was the consensus of the prisoners of Kot Lakhpat prison that negotiations were to be made.
Addressing journalists during his trial in prison, Qureshi added: “I will not disclose the name to whom PTI should initiate talks”.
“The time of things is very important and it matters a lot in politics, so I will disclose the name at the right time,” he added.
Regarding the continuing struggle of the party for political dialogue, he said: “We have been talking about negotiations for two years, so what solution remains with the exception of protests when no answer is received?”
Qureshi said that the founding president of PTI, Imran Khan, would finally make the final decision on any negotiation. “We wanted to speak with powerful corridors, but they received an answer that PTI should speak with politicians,” he said.
He noted that confusion had intensified due to the lack of access to Imran Khan. “They should have access to Imran Khan so that we can take his point of view and explain to us,” he said.
The experienced politician said: “They are in prison and they do not know what is on the ground. I have 42 years of experience in politics”. “The country should flourish.”
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, another imprisoned PTI chief, echoed the feelings of the members of the imprisoned party. “We are in prison for the good of this country, not for the mines. We know that we have not committed any offense; we know that they will punish us, but even then, they stick to their position and do not bow to their acquired interests,” she said.
“I have a lot of educational diplomas and I could go to any country for a better life, but I will not do it, because Pakistan is my country and I love it,” she added.
“We are talking about the Constitution and will obtain justice before the courts.”
