Islamabad:

Pakistan lawyer Tehreek-e-insaf, Gohar Ali Khan, said that he had accepted the government’s offer for political dialogue in his capacity as party president, but categorically excluded the possibility of any agreement.

Addressing the media outside the Parliament, Barrister Gohar said that PTI had always kept the doors of open negotiations. He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended an offer of dialogue on the ground of the house, which he accepted as president of PTI.

“I assured the government that I would transmit the message to the founder of the PTI and the party leadership,” said Gohar.

However, he refused to share the details of his meeting with the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, concerning the offer, calling him an internal party affair.

He stressed that Imran Khan would not be an agreement with the government.

Answering a question about the recent rare media appearance of Imran Khan’s children, Gohar said he was satisfied with their interview, noting that they had transmitted in a worthy way that their father did not want to compromise.

He added that the founder of the PTI never asked his children or his party leaders to conclude an agreement for his prison release. He said that he did not share questions related to the founder of PTI with anyone.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum categorically denied reports suggesting PTI’s desire to speak with the government. She said she didn’t know where the news came from.

“When we questioned the founder of the PTI on this subject, he rejected the complaint,” said Aleema, saying that the PML-N had stolen the public mandate and trained the government. “What is to discuss with those who stole the mandate?” she interviewed.

Aleema also stressed that Imran is imprisoned in Adiala prison in Punjab and that all cases against him are prosecuted in the same province. She said the 26th amendment was specifically presented to refuse her justice.

“I was told in Peshawar that Shehbaz Sharif had interviews with Imran Khan. I was surprised to learn it. Later, it appeared that Shehbaz had spoken to Barrister Gohar,” noted Aleema.

She said that there is only one president of PTI and it is Imran Khan who gives all the guidelines concerning party issues, adding that the lawyer Gohar received the post of the president only to transmit messages.

In addition, PTI chief Naeem Haider Panjutha also refuted reports from the PTI agreement with the government, saying that these reports aim to obtain high notes. The founder of the PTI takes people in confidence before making a measure and he does not conclude in camera, said Panjutha.
