Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) Punjab criticized the provincial government on Monday for having allegedly allocated an additional billion rupees for the constituency of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, the appeal to the unjustified use of public funds in the midst of economic difficulty through the country. In a press release, the provincial PTI chapter expressed concern about expenses, in particular in the light of the recent speaker wage increases and other parliamentarians. The party argued that such budgetary decisions appear deaf at a time when the nation is struggling with inflation, poverty and the rise in unemployment. "The extravagance of the elite gives the impression of rubbing salt in the wounds of the people," the declaration asserted. He highlighted the challenges being governance in Punjab, including a deterioration drainage system, inadequate basic health care in public sector hospitals and the alarming number of children outside the school – would have more than 10 million people in the province.
