According to the notification, the political committee will function as the apex decision-making forum of the party, responsible for shaping decisions, formulating policies and preparing guidelines for the parliamentary wings.

“The Political Committee will also lay down the policies to be followed by the party’s parliamentary parties in the National Assembly, Senate and provincial assemblies, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir assemblies,” the notification said.

Although Gandapur’s name does not figure in the new composition, the notification adds that additional leaders may be included or removed as required.
