The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday expressed hope that the ongoing ‘Islamabad talks’ would yield constructive results.
Delegations from Washington and Tehran are in Islamabad for negotiations aimed at ending the six-week-old war in Iran, which has killed thousands in the Middle East, disrupted energy supplies, fueled inflation and slowed the global economy.
The Iranian delegation, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, arrived in Pakistan yesterday evening. Meanwhile, the US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, landed in Islamabad this morning. The U.S. delegation also included President Donald Trump’s administration’s top Middle East envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
In an article on X today, PTI expressed hope that the ongoing US-Iran talks in Islamabad would succeed. The party said it offered “sincere prayers for the success” of the negotiations and hoped the deliberations would produce “constructive and mutually beneficial results.”
The PTI said the talks are expected to help “advance the collective interests of the Muslim Ummah” while strengthening Pakistan’s strategic interests and promoting “peace, stability and prosperity” in the wider region.
“May Allah Almighty bless these efforts with wisdom and guidance,” he said, expressing hope that the discussions will result in “fruitful resolutions that will serve the greater good of all parties concerned.”

Pakistan has become a key mediator in the region. On February 28, the United States and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran, prompting Tehran to retaliate by attacking Israel and U.S. military bases in the Gulf. This escalation of tensions in the Middle East has led Pakistan’s political and military leadership to make efforts to de-escalate the situation.
To ease tensions, Pakistan also hosted a quadrilateral meeting of foreign ministers in Islamabad, with representatives from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The meeting attracted worldwide attention and was widely appreciated for Pakistan’s efforts.
Pakistan and China also jointly proposed a five-point initiative aimed at restoring peace and stability in the Gulf and the entire Middle East.
