Pakistan president Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Junaid Akbar, confirmed continuous communication between party leadership and institutional organizations while stressing that such communications have always taken place at the discretion of PTI in the past.

Addressing the media after having presided over the first meeting of PTI leaders in Peshawar on Sunday, Akbar said that the rally focused on the preparation of the next protest rally in Swabi on February 8, which he described as the biggest gathering PTI in KP.

Several leaders and members of the PTI Provincial Assembly attended Reunion, while the chief minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, was notably absent.

Akbar said the CM was not invited to Reunion because of its pre -existing responsibilities. However, he assured that a separate meeting would take place with the CM concerning the demonstration of Swabi.

In his conversation with the media, Akbar expressed a strong disapproval of the remarks made by the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi, accusing him of making inappropriate statements.

Naqvi on Saturday had warned the PTI of a strict action if it continued with its scheduled demonstration of February 8 which coincides with the match of the Champions Trophy planned in Lahore.

“The government will ask the PTI to reconsider its demonstration scheduled for February 8, but if the party refuses, the State will take the necessary measures,” said the Minister of the Interior.

He accused the party of harming the international image of Pakistan by organizing demonstrations whenever foreign dignitaries visit the country. “Their policy promotes chaos rather than constructive development.”

However, Akbar described the measures taken against PTI workers as “state terrorism” and raised concerns about the possibility of violence during future demonstrations, declaring: “This time, we expect that Even bullets are dismissed during any event. “

He confirmed continuous communication between PTI and state institutions, attributing it to the strategic approach of PTI because he recognized that the party did not seek confrontation with the institutions, but stressed that whatever the instructions that the founder gives, they will not disappoint it or the public.

Answering a question about potential changes in the provincial cabinet, Akbar said such decisions were the CM authority.
