Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) filed a request before the High Court of Lahore (LHC), asking for permission to hold a rally in Minar-E-Pakistan on March 22.
The petition, deposited by Akmal Bari, argues that the party wishes to organize a rally in accordance with the law and the constitution, but was refused the authorization of a peaceful rally, reported Express News.
PTI asked the court to allow them to hold the rally in Pakistan Minar, ensuring their right to the Pacific Assembly.
In the petition, the party stressed that despite all the legal procedures, their request for a peaceful rally was refused, and they request the intervention of the court to grant them authorization for the provided.
Earlier, the administration of the Lahore district denied PTI to organize a rally in Minar-E-Pakistan on February 8.
The PTI had announced the organization of a public rally on February 8, the first anniversary of the last general elections that the party describes as very fake last week in January.
Alia then moved LHC given a delay in the district administration to decide the issue.
