Punjab Minister of Punjab, Azma Bokhari, said on Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) was not a political party but a fascist group seeking to destabilize the country.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she accused the PTI of promoting the troubles and undermining national interests.

She said PTI had fled the partial elections of Sambrial and Muridke for fear of public rejection. “This group caused the incidents of May 9-an event that should not be forgiven, or it will continue to repeat,” she said.

Bokhari stressed that only the Supreme Court holds the power to impose prohibitions but insisted that “to advance the country, it is essential to get rid of this party to spread chaos”.

Bokhari questioned the political legitimacy of the PTI, referring to its presumed role in the guerrilla style plots. “Does a group lead guerrilla warfare and conspires a political party against Pakistan?” She asked, adding: “The terrorist group will not be authorized to destroy the law and the order of Pakistan.”

Referring to the PTI protest scheduled for August 5, she said that no one was ready to accept the responsibility of the day. She criticized PTI for calling for processions while remaining silent on national causes.

Responding to the reports of a potential agreement for the founder of PTI to leave the country, Bokhari said: “I heard about the agreement, but I don’t know with certainty”.

Turning to foreign affairs, she accused the head of the IMRAN PTI of advancing American interests, declaring: “The Jewish hall has revived its product; Khan promoted American interests ”.

She ridiculed the previous position of Imran on independence, saying: “Are we slaves? Is real freedom promoted by advertisements? Previously, he had asked for the freedom of America; Now, even his son demands freedom ”.

“Instead of threatening America, write now on vehicles:” Trump, you alone are our hope “,” she added in a mocking way.

Bokhari said that even PTI chief Ali Amin Gandapur recognized the development of Punjab during a visit to Lahore.

She said, “They talk about the finals ” calls ”, but their protest movements have never been material – protest calls on November 26 and April 9 were both canceled”.

It reaffirmed the government’s commitment to national interest, highlighting the zero tolerance policy of the chief minister Maryam Nawaz on the hoard of sugar. “Many arrests have been proceeded and the government will take care of the stored sugar of Mills,” she said.

She concluded by saying that the current government was determined to protect the well-being of Pakistan, saying: “It is a government that protects the interests of the people.”
