On the directives of the president of the PTI Foundation, Imran Khan, the leader of the opposition of the National Assembly and the leader of the Omar Ayub party wrote a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), raising concerns concerning the ” Grending elections “in 2024” and urging the lender of money to consider governance problems in Pakistan during his economic examination.
According to Express News, Ayub’s letter stresses that the Mission of the IMF is currently assesing the economic and governance framework of Pakistan, with transparency and the rule of law as key factors.
In addition to the letter, the head of the PTI submitted a file previously presented to the chief judge, containing what he describes as “irrefutable evidence of generalized electoral fraud”.
Ayub recalled that Imran Khan had met the IMF delegation on July 7, 2023, stressing that the fair elections were essential to the rule of law, economic prosperity and national development.
He said that the file provides concrete evidence of the way in which state institutions, including the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP), would have removed the PTI, manipulated the election results and designed the democratic process.
Ayub accused the government of having violated the constitutional principles and included the conclusions of the NGO Pattan, which, according to him, said that electoral fraud has documented.
He stressed that economic and political stability depends on transparency and urged international stakeholders, including the IMF, to take note of these concerns.
Ayub assured the IMF that PTI was willing to provide details and assistance if necessary.
He expressed the confidence that the rule of law and democratic integrity will remain at the heart of the future commitments of Pakistan with international organizations.

Sources of security, however, rejected the complaints concerning the previous letters of Imran, declaring that no correspondence of this type had been received and that the establishment had no interest in engaging with it. They reiterated that any political discussion should take place among politicians rather than involving the army.
Addressing the media outside of Adiala prison in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Imran’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, said that the founder of the PTI had dictated the content of the third letter to party leaders.
The letter would include six key points, in particular the requests for deep structural reforms and concerns about government policies undermining democracy.
Chaudhry stressed that PTI continues to demand a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9. He also said that post-electoral repression persists in Punjab, citing an example where the police would have prevented the funeral of a PTI worker in Wazirabad.
The lawyer said that PTI leaders, including IMRAN, appeared in the GHQ case procedure. The chief whip of the PTI, Amir Dogar, was part of the negotiation committee with the opposition and the party should announce additional appointments via an official notification later in the day, he added.
Chaudhry also criticized the restrictions reported on lawyers and journalists, declaring that the president of the ALF, Intezar Panjutha, had been forbidden to enter the prison to meet Imran. He also indicated that PTI would file an open trial request in the GHQ case, invoking concerns about judicial transparency after the 26th constitutional amendment.
In his last letter, Imran Khan raises allegations of electoral fraud, saying that a minority had been authorized to assume the majority of the majority. He also accuses the government of allowing money launders to have power.
