Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) announced an alternative strategy after being denied the authorization of its rally planned in Minar-E-Pakistan.

According to sources, the party has designed “Plan B”, focusing on generalized demonstrations through Punjab in the event that the rallying place remains inaccessible, Express News reported.

The management of PTI has decided not to hold the rally in another place of Lahore.

Instead, they will organize demonstrations in various Punjab districts. Sources within the party have revealed that instructions will be given to party members and leaders to organize demonstrations in their respective constituencies.

In Lahore, demonstrations should take place in key places, notably Liberty Chowk, Azadi Chowk and Mall Road.

PTI leaders said that by denying the permission of the rally, the government involuntarily makes their more successful protests.

A few days ago, PTI decided to hold a public rally in Minar-E-Pakistan on February 8, for which a request was submitted to the administration of Lahore.

According to Express News, PTI has decided to hold an electric program at the Greater Iqbal Park.

The party appointed chief organizer Aliya Hamza to supervise the event, and she submitted a written request to the deputy commissioner of Lahore requesting the approval of the rally.

The request underlines that PTI wishes to organize the rally at the Greater Iqbal Park Ground and that a CNO (without certificate of objection) is requested from the authorities.

The rally organizing committee includes Aliya Hamza, oLeader of the Position at the Assembly of Punjab, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, and Ali Ijaz Butt.

PTI sources have said that if the authorization is not granted, the party plans to organize a national demonstration in response.

The president of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) section, Junaid Akbar, had warned of a national campaign against the power coalition, citing the government’s lack of commitment to resolve political tensions through dialogue.

Addressing a local television news channel, Akbar said that the opposition’s desire to negotiate was wrongly interpreted as a sign of weakness. His remarks occurred after PTI jumped the fourth round of interviews with the coalition government led by the Muslim League of Pakistan (PML-N) on Tuesday on Tuesday, effectively blocking the negotiation process.

PTI and the power alliance launched talks in December from last year to reduce political temperature in the country.

However, the dialogue process derailed while PTI accused the government of not having trained judicial commissions to investigate on May 9, 2023, the demonstrations and the repression of PTI demonstrators in Islamabad on November 26, 2024.
