PTI to contest the references against the MPAs

Lahore:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) plans to launch a national protest movement for the release of its founder imprisoned Imran Khan.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the head of the opposition to the Punjab assembly, Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, said that an announcement concerning the movement would be made later this week.

Responding to media requests, Bhachar accused the government of employing multiple failed tactics to dismantle party leaders.

He announced that PTI would contest the references filed by the president of the Punjab assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, against 26 opposition legislators.

He accused Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the power to orchestrate the suspension of the members to appease the Minister-in Chief Maryam Nawaz.

“We, 107 MPa, we hold firm. We will not bow to Maryam Nawaz,” he said. “Thursday, we will summon a parallel session of our” real “assembly outside the Punjab assembly.
