PTI to move the court against the authorities of Adiala

Peshawar:

The PTI will issue a request for orders against outrage in the court against the prison administration for having violated an order from the High Court of Islamabad (IHC), allowing the former Prime Minister imprisoned Imran Khan to meet visitors twice a week.

The central secretary of central information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, made this announcement on Saturday during a press conference in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The courts should be closed if they could not implement their orders,” added the head of the PTI.

Last week, March 24, a larger bench of three members of the IHC restored the Imran bihebdomedary meeting with visitors to Adiala prison, but also inflicted a ban on visitors to speak with the media after such meetings.

The bench, led by the acting chief judge, Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, and including judge Arbab Muhammad Tahir and judge Muhammad Azam Khan, noted that only these people could meet the founder of the PTI whose names were provided by the coordinator of Imran Salman Akram Raja.

However, on March 27, the administration of the famous Rawalpindi prison where Imran Khan has been detained since September 2023, did not allow PTI leaders to meet the party founder.

According to Sheikh Waqas Akram, the PTI will move a petition to contempt against the prison administration after Eidul Fitr. “The judicial orders are ignored. This impunity must end,” he added.

Akram said that the PTI would not go solo, but prefer the demonstrations of establishment according to Eidul Fitr under the aegis of an alliance of the brewing opposition parties-Trehreek Tahaffuz-e-E-Pakistan.

The PTI chief also rejected all rumors on the formation of an advanced block in the former ruling party.

Speaking with reference to the inclusion of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s JUI-F in the Alliance, Akram said that there was a lot of acrimony between PTI and JUI-F in the past.

“However, this is a big step that the two parties are now seated together.”

Apparently, referring to the Declaration of Friday of the JUI-FRONT against the chief minister of KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, who belongs to the PTI, Akram said that this exchange of statements was not a big problem.

On Friday, JUI-F accused Gandapur of having tried to sabotage attempts to form a great opposition alliance against the ruling coalition, declaring that despite the clear instructions of the founder of the PTI Imran Khan, Gandapur had published statements against the Chief Jui-F.

“Gandapur continually Badmouing the head of Jui-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman. This criticism will not benefit the government and the undemocratic force,” said spokesperson for Jeu-F Aslam Ghauri in a statement.

Sheikh Waqas Akram said that many PTI workers have been imprisoned in the past two years. “Our mandate has been stolen; we are not allowed to engage in political activities and companies of a number of PTI managers and workers have been closed,” he said.

He complained that a former chief judge of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, has removed his electoral symbol. He asked why the KP Senate elections have not yet taken place. “The nation will never forgive you for that,” he added.
