Lahore: The Punjab government has ordered the closure of all the province’s educational establishments for the next two days, Friday and Saturday, as a precaution in the light of the dominant security situation.
In a statement, the Minister of Education of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, confirmed that the decision applies to schools, colleges and universities in the public and private sector from the whole province.
He said this closure is temporary and that academic activities will resume in accordance with the routine on Monday, May 12.
The directive was published to ensure the safety of students, teachers and school staff during the current situation.
It is relevant to mention here that the board of directors of intermediate and secondary education (Bise) postponed the intermediate and registration exams of yesterday.
