The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, categorically refused to apologize for his recent explosion against the PPP, a key coalition partner of the PML-N in the center.

The War of Words, which began in relation to the floods through the Benazir income support program (BISP), between PPP and PML-N, was further intensified after the Punjab CM, during an event in Faisalabad, rejected the PPP’s objection to the controversial channel project on the Indus river.

The PPP called for the provision of aid to the victims of flood via BISP – a proposal rejected by the Punjab government.

On Tuesday, PPP legislators left the Senate and the National Assembly sessions to protest the remarks made by Punjab CM on the canals and its comments on the reactions of PPP leaders to the performance of its government during floods.

Speaking during a ceremony in Lahore, CM Maryam said that she would respond each time the Punjab was attacked. She added: “As chief minister, if I don’t speak for Punjab, then who will do it?”

His remarks one day came after the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq would have managed to persuade the PML-N and the PPP to end the public’s criticism, The news reported.

Addressing the event, the CM of Punjab said that during the floods, it was given to request international aid, but it would never ask its people to beg with a bowl in hand, and it would not allow their dignity to be compromised.

Referring to the events of May 9, CM Maryam said that the one who encourages you to burn and surround is your “biggest enemy”.

Without naming Imran Khan, the founder of PTI incarcerated, she said: “On May 9, the children were invited to attack the country, but their own children sit outside.”

Stressing the performances of her government, she said: “I put an end to favoritism and rigging.”

Punjab exam centers have not been sold now, she added.

The CM of Punjab said that she was responsible before Allah Almighty and then to the Punjab people.
