Punjab fauna rangers on Tuesday seized a white tiger and an African lion in Faisalabad as part of an in progress against the illegal possession of dangerous wild animals.
Vice-Chief Wildlife Ranger, Dr. Ghulam Rasol, confirmed that the operation had been carried out by the Faisalabad unit after a tip. The animals, both rare and exotic, were kept without the required legal permits.
The white -rescued white tiger was moved to the Lahore Safari zoo, while the Lion Cub is moved to a secure installation. Judicial procedures have been initiated under Punjab Wildlife Act against persons involved in illegal possession.

Officials have confirmed that more than 20 lions, tigers and leopards had been recovered in various cities of Punjab since the start of repression. These animals were moved to safe locations for appropriate care.
Punjab fauna department officials seized 18 lions from various cities in the province. The officials arrested five people in the illegal possession of these animals, recorded five FIRs and launched surveys in two additional cases.
Earlier, the Punjab government announced new regulations to enforce the sterilization of lions, tigers, leopards and other big cats. As part of a progressive regulatory initiative, the government will also introduce a ban on commercial sale and the purchase of these species.

The owners received the deadline of May 2 to declare their animals. Currently, 180 registered fauna reproduction farms have declared their stocks, the verification is currently underway. To date, 40 of these installations have been verified.
