Lahore:
The Punjab government has launched a large security and sanitation operation across the province to ensure public safety and maintain hygiene during the three -day religious festival.
A centralized coordination system involving the original service, the police, local governments and waste management companies has been activated.
The officials say that the integrated effort aims to provide a safe and specific environment to citizens celebrating Eid.
A central control room of the Clock The Clock was established in Lahore under the supervision of the secretary in the interior of Punjab.
The Directorate of General Public Relations (DGPR), the control room will monitor all districts 24 hours a day and coordinate the efforts to apply the law and government directives.
The application of article 144 has been implemented in several regions of the province.
Orders prohibit the public slaughter of animals, swimming or navigation of pleasure in rivers, canals or dams, and the elimination of animal waste in men’s holes or waterways. Additional prohibitions include the use of fireworks, drones, laser lights, pigeon flights and installation of temporary mechanical walks within a radius of 15 kilometers from any airport or air base.
The department of origin has also announced a repression of the unauthorized collection of animal skins.
“No proscribed organization will be allowed to collect skins,” said a spokesperson.
Only the charitable organizations registered and certified with the Punjab charity will be authorized to do so.
Lahore police have finalized a security plan drawn up for Eid, a deployment of more than 9,000 members of the city.
The operation will be supervised by 6 police superintendents (SPS), 22 sub-divisional police (SDPO) and 83 home officers (SHO).
The Dolphin and PRU forces will be on alert, with more than 1,600 officers on the ground, supported by 700 traffic agents to manage the circulation of Eid.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority will monitor the congregations of Eid, mosques and imambargates through surveillance systems.
“All religious rallies will be under surveillance, and any violation of government directives will lead to strict action,” said Bilal Siddique Kamyana, police officer in Lahore Capital City.
The Minister of the Local Government of Punjab, Zeeshan Rafiq, described the sanitation plan as a “challenge”, especially since more than 360,000 tonnes of animal waste is expected throughout the province during Eid. Speaking at a high -level meeting at the civilian secretariat, the minister said that the objectives set by chief minister Maryam Nawaz were “ambitious but achievable”.
To combat the huge cleaning task, 11.69 million biodegradable bags will be distributed. More than 124,000 sanitation workers, supported by 15,204 temporary recruits, will work as part of the Sthra Punjab program. The operation will use 125,794 machines and vehicles, in addition to the existing 29,638 sanitation units.
Officials have appointed 3,870 primary collection points and 4,262 Union council level camps, as well as 1,661 collective slaughter sites to discourage public slaughter.
To monitor cleanliness in real time, all waste and municipal management offices have established local control rooms, while the central control room of Lahore will supervise the operation across the province.
“There will be no tolerance for negligence,” said Minister Rafiq. “Photographic evidence of all cleaning activities must be submitted and public awareness campaigns must include the participation of elected local representatives.”
After Eid, the authorities will vaporize rose water and the phenyl on the roads for sanitation. In addition, 2.83 million kilograms of lime will be used to disinfect the affected areas.
Sales sales of the sacrificial animals have been strictly prohibited, and officials were invited to perform regular inspections to ensure compliance.
“No report of diseases or dengue -related dengue has been received so far,” noted Minister Rafiq, confirming that cattle agents, municipal and district administration are working in close coordination.
While the province is preparing for the Eid holidays, the Punjab government has reiterated its commitment to ensure a safe, hygienic and peaceful environment for all citizens.
