At least 27 people have lost their lives and 46 others have been injured in rain -related incidents in the past 24 hours, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.
According to emergency officials, at least 12 people were killed and six others injured in three incidents of separated roofing in Lahore during the night, while other deaths occurred in various accidents related to rain.
The 1122 rescue teams responded to calls from the village of Muridwal, to Mission Colony on Raiwind Road and Kot Jamal early Wednesday morning. The collapses took place during a period of prolonged precipitation across the city.
The figures highlight the growing risks posed by heavy rains, which have also caused wounded floods and disturbances in several districts.
Meanwhile, the Punjab of the Province of Disaster Management (PDMA) issued an alert for heavy rains which should continue in various parts of the province until tomorrow.
In response to the imminent weather, the provincial control room and the district emergency operations centers were fully activated, the staff monitoring the situation 24 hours a day.
The rescue agencies, including Rescue 1122 and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), were put on alert, with machines and staff placed pending to respond quickly.

Citizens were advised to stay away from electric posts, suspended threads and any low or dilapidated structure to minimize the risk of accidents. The PDMA also urged the public to remain cautious and to take the necessary precautions under unfavorable weather conditions.
In the event of an emergency, the public can contact the PDMA assistance line at 1129 to obtain help. Rescue operations continue as the authorities are trying to mitigate damage and provide assistance to people affected by bad weather.
