Qureshi, the pleadings of Asad Umar rejected in the affairs of May 9

Lahore:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) rejected on Wednesday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) Shah Mohmood Qureshi and Asad Umar in the affairs related to the riots of May 9 following the arrest of the Imran Khan Party Party.

While the procedure began on Wednesday, Qureshi was neither produced in court nor represented by any lawyer, which prompted the judge to reject his deposit requests in two cases related to the violence of May 9.

In the case of Asad Umar, his lawyer submitted a request requesting an exemption from a day of personal appearance, citing the petitioner disease. However, the ATC judge expressed his dissatisfaction with repeated absences, declaring that such a conduct was intolerable.

The judge noticed that Umar had not appeared in previous hearings either and that no reparation could be granted in such circumstances.

After reserving the verdict for a brief period, the judge then announced the rejection of the two pleas.
