Christian Wilkins is considered one of the best interior defensive line players on the NFL, at least when it is good healthy to play.
After signing a four -year lucrative contract with Las Vegas raiders for the last off -season, Wilkins only played five games in 2024 due to a foot injury.
On Thursday, Wilkins’s race with the raiders ended.

“We decided that he was in the best interest of the organization to leave Christian Wilkins, and he was informed of his team release,” the team said in a statement.
Wilkins was released under the appointment of a terminated dismissal veteran. There is an uncertainty if Wilkins will receive a considerable amount of his contract with the raiders.

The agreement that Wilkins agreed in 2024 would have included $ 84.75 million in guarantees. Wilkins still owed around $ 35.2 million of this guaranteed money, but the raiders canceled the contract of the defensive line.

Wilkins responded to this decision by submitting a grievance with the NFLPA, ESPN reported.
“This franchise has a commitment to excellence on and off the field. Without a clear path or plan for the future return to play Christian, this transaction is necessary for the whole organization to progress and prepare for the new season,” concluded the press release from the raiders.
The guaranteed silver dispute seems to come from the way Wilkins has been treated and how it has managed its rehabilitation of the foot injury.

Wilkins has a 22½ bags since it was a selection of NFL recovery in the first round of Clemson. He spent the first five seasons of his career in the NFL with the Miami dolphins.
