RAWALPINDI:
A heavy crane has been brought to Rawalpindi from Lahore to clear the railway track blocked since the derailment of the locomotive and two coaches of the Green Line train the other day, railway officials and workers said on Thursday.
The incident took place near Bakery Chowk on Wednesday. Train operations on the route remained paralyzed for six hours.
Railway officials later said the track had now been fully restored and train operations had resumed normally. Fortunately, the Green Line train was empty at the time of the derailment.
