Rain probably in certain parts of today’s country until May 4

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has planned precipitation in several parts of the country from today, the wet fate which should continue until May 4.

The upper and power plant regions, notably Islamabad, Murrier, Galiyat, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK are likely to receive precipitation during this period.

Some areas may experience heavy showers and hailstorms, depending on the Met Office.

The rain is also scheduled from May 2 to 5 in parts of the southern Punjab and Balutchistan. Cities such as Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Khairpur, Tharparkar, Sanghar and Umerkot can attend scattered showers.

Meanwhile, a severe heat wave has seized parts of the Sindh, where temperatures have increased.

Tuesday, Nawabshah recorded the highest temperature at 49 ° C, followed by 48 ° C to Rahim Yar Khan, Khairpur, Padidan, Rohri and Dadu. Hyderabad and Bahawalpur saw 45 ° C peaks, while Multan recorded 44 ° C.

Temperatures reached 41 ° C in Peshawar and Muzaffarabad, 40 ° C in Lahore and 39 ° C in Karachi. Islamabad reported 38 ° C, Quetta 37 ° C and Gilgit 34 ° C.

The authorities advised the public to remain hydrated, to avoid unnecessary trips during peak hours and to stay up to date on meteorological developments.
