The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has planned generalized rains with wind forces and strong isolated falls in a large part of the country from July 27 to 31, warning sudden floods, urban floods and landslides in several vulnerable areas.

According to the PMD, low monsoon currents are currently entering the upper and power plant parts of Pakistan and are likely to intensify from July 28.

A West wave should approach by July 29, further strengthening the meteorological system.

The rain with isolated falls is expected in cashmere (including Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Mirpur) and Gilgit-Baltistan (including Skardu, Astore and Hunza) from July 27 to 31.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, districts such as Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan and Peshawar are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms from July 28 to 31.

The Punjab and Islamabad will see the rain with scattered falls from July 28 to 31, affecting areas such as Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sialkot. The rain is also probably in southern Punjab (DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan) from July 29 to 31.

The districts of the northeast and southern Balutchistan, including Quetta, Barkhan and Zhob, could receive rain from the night from July 29 to July 31.

In the Sindh, hot and humid times will persist, although the rain is scheduled for July 30 and 31 in districts such as Tharparkar, Sanghar, Sukkur and Larkana.

The PMD has warned that heavy rains could trigger sudden floods in streams of Chitral hills, Swat and other regions of the North.

Urban floods are probably in the low areas of Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Siackot.

Land lands or mud shifts can occur in the hilly regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murrier and Cashmire.

Strong winds and lightning can damage low infrastructure, including kacha houses, electric posts, solar panels and display panels.

The public, travelers and tourists were invited to remain informed and to avoid unnecessary trips in vulnerable areas.

The authorities were invited to remain alert and take precautionary measures.

The latest weather updates are available on the PMD website and the Pak Weather Mobile application.
