A western meteorological system is expected to enter the upper parts of the country on the evening of April 16 and probably affect the region until April 20, bringing generalized precipitation, thunderstorms and possible thunderstorms.
According to PMD, the rain accompanied by wind and thunder is expected in Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad and other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, from April 16 to 20, with intermittent games.
Dust storms and thunderstorms are also probably in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and several districts of the Punjab Central and Northern, notably Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Gujranwala, in particular the evening of April 16 and 18. Isolated thunderstorms can occur during this period.
The districts of southern Punjab, notably Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan and Bahawalpur, should experience storms of dust and winds originally on April 18 and 19.
The authorities warned of potential damage due to the wind, hail and lightning. “Wind storms, hailstorms and lightning can damage loose structures such as electric posts, trees, vehicles and solar panels,” said the Met Office.
Farmers, especially those who harvest wheat, were invited to plan agricultural activities in accordance with forecasts. Land lands can also occur in the vulnerable hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Mirper and Galliyat.
All the services concerned were invited to remain alert and take precautionary measures to prevent any unfavorable incident during this period.
