KARACHI: Light to moderate rain is expected in the port city from tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon to evening, a weather analyst said on Wednesday.
The meteorologist said PK Press Club News that the westerly weather system is currently being enhanced by moisture from the Arabian Sea, which is likely to influence weather conditions in the city.
Under the influence of this system, Karachi could receive rainfall of between 8 and 20 millimeters tomorrow. The developing system could also lead to notable changes in temperature and overall weather conditions in the city.
Moreover, from Friday, cold and fast winds from Quetta are expected to blow over Karachi. The meteorologist said the speed of these winds could reach between 40 and 45 kilometers per hour, which could further intensify the feeling of cold in the city.
The intensity of cold weather in Karachi is forecast to remain higher than usual until Sunday. Residents will likely experience lower temperatures as well as strong winds over the next few days.
The weather analyst also warned that another western weather system is expected to affect the country between January 27 and 28. This system could again influence the weather conditions in Karachi and other parts of the country.
