The last time the WWE Evolution has taken place, Raquel Rodriguez was still training in the performance Center hoping to be able to enter the ring with the superstars of today and tomorrow.
On Sunday, she will have the chance to defend her label team championship with Roxanne Perez in one of the most difficult matches of the card. The duo will put the titles on the line in a deadly four -way match against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Sol Ruca and Zaria, and Kairi Sane and Asuka.
Rodriguez expressed to PK Press Club Digital what the evolution meant for her the first time she saw the live premium event unfold in 2018.

“This is a very exciting period for all WWE women, all women who are generally invested in the fight in the world,” she said. “We had only one evolution and I remember that it was back in 2018, I was training at the performance Center, I bit nails because I just wanted to be so part. But it was a great representation of women in the fight, women in sport and women of culture around the world.
“So, to know that we can have an evolution 2 female 2 and have more women in our history and our future to represent, I think it will be an absolutely incredible show. I can’t wait to see all the women, the little girls, and the Abuelitas and the Tias who will be in women who rejoice as a tag champion of WWE tag and wwe tag tag champion.
For Rodriguez, the professional struggle was in his blood. His father, Rick, was an independent wrestler in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, and she watched him compete.

She said that if Chyna and other wrestlers of the time were inspiring, her interest in the struggle was really taken from her father.
“There was not only one person I watched and that I wanted to imitate, I mean that I admired a lot. I, obviously, cherished Chyna and Beth Phoenix to be the woman they were, representing a strong and tall woman,” said Rodriguez. “I think that for me and my life, I mean, I already had 6 feet my first year of high school and I was bigger than anyone and everyone from the young age of 4 years. I felt constantly different and not always in the best way.
“I also always turn to my father. I am a daddy’s girl and I say that in and outside, he really guided me in many decisions that I made in my life and that I would not be here if it was not for him, that’s for sure, and the sacrifices he did. Watching him and his work in the fight really inspired me, obviously, because I wanted to do so much. that I consider models. “
Rodriguez is a champion of the women’s team six times, including four with Liv Morgan. However, Morgan was sidelined with a shoulder injury and Perez has entered his place to fill up – at least for the moment.
Rodriguez said that she had all the confidence in the world they will defend their titles successfully despite never joining forces with each other in an official match.

“It will certainly be a challenge for us,” Rodriguez told PK Press Club Digital. “But I look at the other teams, and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte have not really been together for so long. So I would say that they are in the same rules of play as we. Asuka and Kairi – yes, Kabuki warriors have a basic name in the tag division of women. They were champions before. However, Asuka does not hurt.
“Then we have zaria and soil and I saw what they did on NXT and I think they are doing an absolutely great job. The very, very, very talented women, the two seem to be a very good connection when it comes to the struggle of women, but Sol has somehow does its own thing and I think that I think I think that I was really on the same ground. Women’s tag division and that I have the many titles.
