A royal expert revealed why Prince William and Kate Middleton are preparing to move to Forest Lodge, an old Georgian house in Windsor Great Park.
According to Royal Expert Ingrid Seward, the Prince and the Princess of Wales like to live in a simple way without the staff living with them.
The Kensington Palace has confirmed that Wales will pay for this decision and the repairs themselves, so no taxpayers’ money will be used.

“William and Kate never wanted living staff; I think it’s the modern way,” shared Seward with the publication.
She added: “Since William was a little boy, he saw all the staff of the Fire Queen houses, and he never wanted it. It was not something with which Kate grew up either.”
“They had a cleaning lady and a nanny at the Palais de Kensington, but in Windsor, they have all these little chalets in the big house, which is more pleasant for the staff too.”
