Eastern Michigan The Elijah Berman football recruit was killed in a motorcycle accident involving a semi-evening on Tuesday evening, according to officials. He was only 17 years old.
Berman, member of university football The team’s recruitment class in 2026 rose a 2006 Suzuki DL1000 in Franklin, Ohio, when he was struck by a semi-camion around 5:12 p.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a press release.

According to the police, the truck, led by Anthony Allen, 41, from Roseville, Michigan, emerged from a ramp of the interstate 75 North when the truck “hit the motorcycle at the intersection”. Lemitruck also struck a median divider noted before turning over.

Berman was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. Allen has received treatment for injuries not putting his life in danger.
Police said the accident was under investigation.
The news of the death of Berman shocked her community of the hometown and the community of university football.

“We mourn the death of Elijah Berman,” said head coach in eastern Michigan, Chris Creighton, in an article on X.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother Heather, his current teammates, his family and his friends. Elijah was ultra talented, but it was his big heart, his contagious smile and his impressive personality who made us fall in love with him. Rip Elijah.”
Berman was a student at the Julienne Catholic High School, where he was a member of the school’s football and track teams.
“Eli knew what it meant was an eagle and had an impact anywhere and wherever he went. He was a leader on the football field and the track, an Aigle ambassador, a big brother in our Little Sibs program, and a solid student with a great personality. He had just accepted an offer on Facebook.
