Sony has apparently leaked Resident Evil Requiemis the second playable protagonist of , and it’s the one we’ve all been waiting for.
So says ‘Dusk Golem’ on X/Twitter, who spotted a listing for the Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition on the Portuguese PlayStation Store, following the release of pre-orders, which seem to confirm that Leon S. Kennedy will be there.
The store page, which has now been edited to remove any mention of the character, included details about the Deluxe Edition which will offer five additional cosmetic skins, including a special costume for Leon.
Leon’s Deluxe outfit is called DSO Special Agent, which seems to be a callback to his appearance in Resident Evil 6. Although no images are available, this suggests that his costume would feature his leather jacket from the game.
‘Dusk Golem, who accurately disclosed that several resident Evil RE Engine games are reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and offered more information on Leon’s escape in a separate article.
“Some people have sent me messages regarding suspicions about the legitimacy of the Resident Evil Requiem Leon’s costume from the PlayStation 5 Deluxe Edition mentions a leak, so I’ll add the context for people,” wrote Dusk Golem.
“Leon is here RE9 as the main playable character alongside Grace, I’m waiting for it to be revealed, I don’t know Capcom’s marketing plans, but I want to share what’s happening around RE as best I can.”
Rumors of Leon appearing in Requiem have been circulating since the game was announced. “Dusk Golem” also previously claimed that fans would see more of Leon as marketing ramped up, and that they would even be a main protagonist, even more so than Grace Ashcroft.
Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
