The long wait for SheDer Sanders finally ended on Saturday afternoon.
The Cleveland Browns exchanged in the fifth round to select Sanders. Shortly after learning that his career in the NFL would start in Cleveland, Sanders shared a short but emotional message on X: “Thank you God.”

“It will be a top 5 choice. Where is your son going? Lololol I had time today. Lololol”, wrote Sanders on X on May 1, 2024. The post now presents a note saying: “Shemer Sanders was not a choice of Top 5 draft.”
At the time, Sanders responded to a comment that mentioned the Colorado record in 2023 – the first year of the father -son duo in Boulder. “Tell your son to stop acting as the coldest here, then set up a 4-8 season,” said the initial post.
