Ricky Saints made an electric WWE debut in February 2025 when he appeared in the crowd at NXT and declared that the brand needed the “superstar of the future.”
The Saints quickly made an impact on NXT.
He won the NXT North American Championship nearly three months after his debut and successfully defended the title against Ethan Page at his first premium live event Stand & Deliver, the biggest show of the year for the brand.

Nearly a year later, Saints made it clear in a recent interview with PK Press Club Digital that he wants to continue racking up accolades during his time in NXT.
He’s eyeing a chance to become a two-time NXT champion at this year’s Stand & Deliver, which would allow him to be mentioned alongside other former stars who have passed through the brand, including Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Tommaso Ciampa, Karrion Kross, Finn Bálor, Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe.
“I’m focused on becoming a two-time NXT champion, that’s for sure,” Saints said. “It’s a small list of people who have done this and I want to put my name on that list. I’ve done a lot in one year. I want to continue like this.
“I want to add something else to that list. I want to add, like, ‘Yeah, Ricky was here for a year and he was a two-time NXT champion. He was a former North American champion. He did it. He opened Stand & Deliver in his first Stand & Deliver, and now he’s going to close Stand & Deliver.’ We can’t do better than that.”

The Saints’ relationship with Page dates back to before the two were even together in WWE.
Either they were lined up against each other or they clashed. The two have not been on the same wavelength for several months.
“He’s not a bad guy, but the plan is not what we agreed to,” Saints told PK Press Club Digital. “So I have to look out for myself to make sure I get the NXT Championship back. So if he can’t match up, then that’s how it’s going to have to be.”
On Saturday, Saints, Page and Tony D’Angelo will face off in a fatal four-way match for Joe Hendry’s NXT Championship. This will be one of the most anticipated matches on the card.
