Riley Gaines broke the personal attack that Simone Biles perceived on her on social networks and what it really meant for the Olympic gold medalist and one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.
Gaines abandoned the latest episode of the Podcast “Gains for Girls” on Outkick and recorded the show a few hours after Biles came after it on X. Gaines gave its flowers to Biles as one of the best athletes to have ever played in sport, but said that messages put a bad brand on its CV.

“In only two tweets, Simone Biles has essentially tarnished her reputation for anyone who has a lesser honesty, to anyone with a moral compass and to anyone with an innate desire to protect women, to fight for equal chances for men and women, especially with regard to sport,” she said. “The conclusion that I draw according to the response we have seen in the last 12 hours at this stage on social networks, it has essentially cremated its inheritance into two tweets.”
Biles embarked on Friday in an attack on sheaths while the former swimmer All-American NCAA reacted to a transgender athlete winning a state championship in Minnesota Softball.
The Olympic gymnast called a “intimate” ducts and said that “nobody in sport is safe with you.”

Gaines said during her podcast that she believed that the bile post showed that she could be finished in gymnastics with her apparent support for transgender athletes, taking a page from Megan Rapinoe’s game book. Rapinoe said in 2023 that she would support a transgender player in the American national women’s team. She retired from sport later that year.
“What she did here is to pull the ladder behind her,” said Gaines about Biles. “We saw people like Megan Rapinoe doing this. Simone Biles is just the last where she apparently competed. Just as Megan Rapinoe did – waited for them to have finished competing to take a stand on this question, which, for the life of me, I cannot understand.
“Take me out of the equation. Again, I don’t care personal attacks. I can’t understand why Simone Biles, in 2025, would argue for that.”
Biles said that it would welcome a debate or a discussion to talk about the issue of transgender athletes in the sports of girls and women. Ducts has been at the forefront to defend equity in female sports since she equaled Lia Thomas in the NCAA 2022 championships.

“I think she blindly pleaded for that without thinking about the effects of what it would look like,” said Gaines. “How nobody would know Simone Biles without female gymnastics. … If her inclusive dream was a reality, she would have no gold medal.”
