Road network in areas struck by restored floods: Tarar

Islamabad:

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Saturday that highways in the areas affected by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan floods had been fully restored while on 60 affected feeders, 52 were now fully worked.

In a media conversation on the flood situation, he said that Karakoram Highway and Biner-Khwazakhela Highway were open to traffic. Likewise, Astore Bridge on Jaglot-Skardu Road was now operational, he said.

The Minister said that the NDMA, the FWO and the Pakistani army have now helped provincial governments to open provincial roads.
