Rose Byrne has finally been nominated for her very first Oscar, a major moment in her career.
The 46-year-old Australian actress won a spot in the Best Actress category for her charming role in If I had legs, I’d kick you.
This feat came after her recent Golden Globes win, making it an even more special moment for her.
Byrne admitted she was completely shocked when she learned of her Oscar nomination.
“I can’t believe it. I feel like I snuck into the back of the bus,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress added that being a part of history and the Oscar ceremony was both overwhelming and incredible.
As a little girl in Sydney, she watched this prestigious event and dreamed of a moment like this in her life.

“He’s doing well! The kids are very happy,” she shared.
However, Rose faced some stiff competition this year, including Jessie Buckley, Kate Hudson, Renate Reinsve and Emma Stone.
At the same time, films like Sinners made history with record nominations, while some favorites like Ariana Grande were surprisingly left out.
The 98th Academy Awards, for those not in the know, will take place at the Dolby Theater on March 15.
