A royal expert has made a shocking claim about the bond between Prince William and Prince Harry, revealing it was a “myth” that the two had a great relationship before Megxit.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzgerald has revealed how Harry was “unhappy” living with the royal family before Meghan Markle even came into his life.
According to News from Great Britain, the expert revealed that the brothers, who are no longer on speaking terms, did not split following Harry’s decision to step down as a senior royal in 2020.
Fitzwilliams further revealed how Meghan saved Harry from his misery, sharing that the Duchess’s difficulties adjusting to royal life contributed to the couple’s decision to leave.
“Harry was very unhappy,” the expert said. “If you read Spare, it’s clear that her relationship with William is not what we thought.”
“The inseparable brothers were a myth,” he revealed.
Harry and Meghan have spoken about the issues they have faced as senior royals since stepping down as senior royals.
“They felt like they were being given instructions,” Fitzwilliams said. “The world, in my opinion, should not have been told about this in this way.”
“But it was, and I don’t think mentoring from anyone would have made a difference in what actually happened because I don’t think Meghan was cut out for that role.
“Meghan only lasted about a year and a half as a member of the royal family before they said they were unhappy.
“The fact that she was so used to the red carpet and the public, we thought that she and Harry would be perfect for the role. She was, of course, deeply unhappy.
“I wouldn’t give a specific reason for that because Harry was also unhappy, and I think Meghan provided an outlet in a sense.”
