- Nintendo could develop a new GameCube controller for switch 2
- New evidence appeared in the form of a new FCC depositing with new details linked to the GameCube
- The “gaming controller” will include wireless Bluetooth
New evidence that a new GameCube controller is in development for the Nintendo Switch 2 has been spotted online.
It comes from an FCC file recently published by Nintendo (spotted by Nintendolife) which shows that a new “game controller” is in preparation.
This material has a “Bee” model number prefix which corresponds to switch 2 and will be a “wireless Bluetooth controller”, which means that it will not require cable slit in the console, unlike the original gamecube cushion.
Thanks to certain fans of Nintendo on Famiboards, it also seems that one of the attached images of the deposit shows a engraved label which corresponds to the rear of the GameCube controller.
However, it has no NFC support, a feature included on the Original Switch Pro controller and Joy-Cons, which means that he will probably not be a switch 2 pro controller.
It is not clear at this stage if this potential gamecube controller will be a completely new reissue or model, but as he has Bluetooth capabilities, he is supposed to have a link to Nintendo Switch online.
The rumors of a new wave of GameCube controllers began last year after a dataminer sharing of component shipping details for what they believed to be for Switch 2.
The successor to the Nintendo switch has not yet a release date, but it should be launched in 2025. A direct showcase of Nintendo is scheduled for April 2, which should provide us with a launch date and a new look at the equipment.
