The end of Dragon House is officially in sight.
Showrunner Ryan Condal confirmed that the Game of Thrones The spin-off will end with its fourth season.
Condal shared the update during a late December appearance on the Escape hatch podcast, where he discussed the progress of Season 3 and revealed that Season 4 is already in development and will be the final chapter.
“It really feels like we’ve turned a big page here. Knowing that there’s only one season left, we feel like we can leave everything on the field behind. We’ve started the process of writing season 4, which will be the last,” Condal said on the podcast.
Season 3 of Dragon House is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere this summer. HBO recently released new footage from the upcoming season, giving fans their first look at the sequel to Targaryen Civil War.
Although no official release date has been announced, season 4 is expected to debut in 2028, bringing the series to a planned and definitive end.
THE Game of Thrones the universe, however, is far from finished. Another spin-off series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdomsis scheduled to be released on January 18.
The series has already been renewed for a second season, a testament to HBO’s continued commitment to expanding the fantasy world of George RR Martin.
With only one season left to tell the rest of the story, Condal’s comments suggest that Dragon House heads towards a focused and ambitious finale.
