Many in the world of sport were shaken on Wednesday at the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Many figures, including Jake Paul, Julian Edelman, Jaxson Dart, and even more have offered their prayers and condolences to Kirk, who was killed at 31 years old.
However, the former ESPN Sage Steele analyst called leagues and teams to remain silent, contrary to what they did when George Floyd was killed.

“Dear Lecues Sports Pro: Looking forward to being published by declarations and sending condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family after being murdered for his political convictions. You know – a bit as you did when the career criminal George Floyd died, Steele posted on social networks.
She marked the NFL, the NBA, the WNBA, the MLB and the NHL in its post. PK Press Club Digital contacted the leagues to comment.
Steele congratulated New York Yankees for having held a moment of silence for the activist.
Local Minnesota teams also presented condolences when two Democratic legislators were killed earlier this year.

The world of sport reacts to Charlie Kirk’s ball death: “Prayers for his family”
President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
“The big, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the hearts of young people in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go to his beautiful wife Erika, and to his family. Charlie, we love you!” Trump wrote.
The published video of the event seemed to show that Kirk is shot when he spoke to the crowd in a white pop-up tent.

Kirk was to appear on Wednesday at the University of Utah Valley as part of his “American Comeback Tour”, with another judgment of the Utah State University later this month.
