- Salesforce acquired Clockwise employees, but not the company itself
- Clockwise customers are advised to migrate to Reclaim
- Agentforce annual recurring revenue up 169%
Clockwise CEO Matt Martin announced via a LinkedIn post that Salesforce would hire the startup’s team as part of its broader Agentforce campaign.
Since Salesforce is acquiring the workers and not the company, Clockwise has confirmed that it will shut down starting March 27, 2026, forcing customers to find an alternative.
Martin confirmed that all customer data will be deleted, meaning Salesforce will not have access to Clockwise’s database and unused subscriptions will be refunded.

Clockwise shuts down as Salesforce acquires workers, not a company
“We believe this move will allow us to have an even greater impact,” Martin wrote, explaining the success and experience of the founding team. “We will bring our deep expertise in building trusted agent software to the agentic enterprise.”
The 10-year-old company has served major clients including Uber, Netflix and Atlassian during its time in the market, but users are now being urged to turn to rival app Reclaim in light of the near-immediate shutdown. Reclaim will match Clockwise prices to make the transition less painful.
“They join my charter to build agent interoperability and orchestration within Agentforce,” wrote Gary Lerhaupt, co-founder of Clockwise, in a separate post on LinkedIn. Lerhaupt joined the Agentforce team as vice president of product architecture a little over a year ago, after about eight years at Clockwise. Martin also spent over two years at Saleforce between 2014 and 2016 before leaving to create Clockwise.
Although Salesforce hasn’t commented on how the new hires might advance Agentforce, we can at least expect immense growth. The Agentforce business grew 169% in annual recurring revenue, now worth $800 million. The company’s total revenue for the most recent full year was $41.5 billion, up 10% year over year.
