Salma Hayek remembers Frida Kahlo in a poignant note.
The actress went to her Instagram account on September 29 to return to the tragic accident that occurred 100 years ago, which changed the life of Frida forever.
“In September 1925, 100 years ago … At 18, Frida Kahlo’s life changed forever due to a tragic bus accident. Her body ended up with unimaginable injuries, and she spent months limited to her bed,” said Salma.
She also published a real photo of Frida with her representation as a Mexican artist.
Salma then wrote: “In this solitude, with a mirror above her and a brush in her hand, Frida began to explore her inner world. Which started as a way to bear the pain has become his greatest gift, the art that speaks of strength, identity and resilience.”
“Her heritage reminds us that even in our most difficult moments, beauty and courage can emerge #Frida #Fridakahlo,” she concluded.
For the UNSSED, Salma played the role of Frida in his biographical film, Fridareleased in 2002.
