As promised, Samsung began the deployment of Gemini support for its Galaxy 3 headphones Buds. It’s a free update, and it’s quite easy to get and install. But there is a warning: you may need to install beta software on your phone.
Gemini do not work on the headphones themselves – it is far too demanding to operate natively – so it needs your phone or tablet to act as a messenger between your mouth and Gemini’s ears.
As 9TO5GOOGLE reports, updates seem exclusively for the phones that run the One UI 8 at the top of Android 16. It is adjusted in the factory on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, but for the Samsung Galaxy S25 One 8 series is always a beta-that is to say. A pre-liberation version of the operating system, which was available (for a selected group of users) is intended for tests.
How to get Gemini on the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro
If you have a Galaxy S25 or more series, the stable version of the One UI 8 software is not scheduled before the end of September 2025. However, there is a beta version and next week, it will be available for more devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Beta will be expanded next month to include S23, Z Fold 5, Flip 5 and several A-SERIE models.
Once you have an 8 user interface in progress, the next step is to check the software updates for your headphones … then pray. I am dramatic there, but only slightly: the upgrading of Gemini would be “wobbly” and the results can differ from one device to another.
If you have the update, you should now see a new option “Configure Google Digital Assistant” at the top of the voice controls section in the Samsung application. This allows you to configure the integration of gemini with your smartphone or tablet.
