- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 was spotted on Geekbench
- The list reveals Android 16, which could make it first phones with this software
- It is also mentioned of 12 GB of RAM and a chipset Elite Snapdragon 8
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will probably be launched in July, and a sign that he is approaching is that he was spotted on a comparative analysis site – revealing some details on the phone in the process.
The Tarun Vats leak (via Phone Arena) found a geekbench list for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, and it mentions Android 16 – which, if the phone launches in July, would mean that it would probably be one of the first handsets running Android 16.
It’s fast enough for Samsung, since the company still has not Android 15 operating on most of its phones, but it is something we have heard of more than once, so there is a good chance that Android 16 (with the Samsung ONE UI 8 superposition) will be really available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at launch.

A faster chipset but no increase in RAM
This reference also mentions 12 GB of RAM, which is the same quantity as you will find in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. It would therefore be nice to see Samsung increase this, but since the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has also 12 GB, we did not really expect to see more than that.
Finally, it has a motherboard which is listed as “sun”, which is the code name of the snapdragon 8 elite, so it is probably the chipset that this phone will use.
This is good news but not surprisingly – good because it is the most powerful chipset currently available for Android phones. School because the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 used the previous generation of this chipset (the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3).
This quantity of RAM and the chipset have also been disclosed, so there are not really surprises here, but it is only another element of evidence suggesting that these are the specifications that we will get.
We will probably know with certainty in July, but listen to Techradar while waiting for any additional leak and rumors.
