- A new survey on Samsung users appeared
- It alludes to the Magsafe style load for future galaxy phones
- Devices that only charge the wire are also mentioned
The best Android phones all support wireless load of course, but they do not yet have the magsafe style magsa features for the chargers and accessories that you get with iPhones – and this is something that Samsung could plan to change.
An official survey of Samsung sent to users and spotted by Sammyguru asks interesting questions: how useful the Magsafe style load, and would it bother you an additional phone thickness if it meant that the magnets could be installed inside? (If you have not obtained the survey, you can have your say by letting us know what you think in the comments below this article.)
There is also a mention of the management of the “wireless charge” – suggesting that Samsung finally plans to remove the wired load on its galaxy phones, at least for some of the models in its range.
Of course, none of this proves or guarantees future features – it is just an investigation into users – but it is an intriguing indication of what Samsung managers are considering with regard to load options on handsets like the Galaxy S25.
Future
High -end Android phones on the market are currently using the Qi2 wireless load, as is the best iPhones. While Qi2 supports the magnetic snap, Android manufacturers have not yet implemented this part of the standard.
There is a compromise to be done, as indicated by Samsung’s investigation. Mounting the magnets in a phone to support Magsafe style features can add a thickness and weight to a device, as well as to increase the cost – that is why Apple has not added Magsafe to the iPhone 16th.
Samsung may not be the only Android telephony manufacturer to vibrate this additional Qi2 feature, as Apple did. According to rumors, Google presents its own version of Magsafe to the Pixel 10 series, with “pixelsnap” accessories.
As for Samsung, we have not seen any change in wireless or wireless load in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Z Flip 7 recently unveiled – so if he decides to launch his own vision of Magsafe, he could appear first in the Samsung Galaxy S26 next year.
